OUTPUTS

Emergencies such as pandemics and natural disasters, including earthquakes, can have profound effects on young people’s physical and mental well-being.

Teachers and educators play a vital role in offering support, protection, and stability during these challenging times, ensuring that children’s mental health is safeguarded. However, existing resources for teacher training in crisis situations are often fragmented, making it difficult for educators to access comprehensive, evidence-based guidance.

To address this gap, Work Package 2 (WP2) is dedicated to identifying the specific training needs, skills, and preparedness requirements of teachers, educators, youth workers, and other key stakeholders involved in children’s welfare. By achieving this, WP2 directly contributes to the overarching goal of the project: strengthening the capacity of educators to support children during public health and disaster emergencies.
